Our Sumatran coffee is grown near Lake Tawar in the Northern tip of the Aceh region, Indonesia.  Sumatran coffee gets it's name from the way it is processed, which utilizes multiple different methods.  This coffee is Fair Trade Organic Certified, which requires strict regulations and business practices to ensure an uncompromised bean.  The flavor for this coffee is rich, with strong earthy flavor and a faint nutty accent.  We like to brew Sumatra in the french press, but it tastes great with any brew method.

Decaf Peru

Full bodied and earthy, our Organic Decaf Peruvian coffee has a cocoa aroma and an almond finish.  Our Peruvian coffee is also Direct Trade Certified.  

This bean goes through a Swiss Water Process which uses water from the pristine environment of the coast mountains of British Columbia, Canada to gently remove the caffeine until the coffee beans are 99.9% caffeine-free, while maintaining the bean’s distinctive origin and flavor characteristics. It’s decaffeinated coffee without compromise. Coffee decaffeinated using the environment-friendly Swiss Water® Process undergoes regular caffeine level audits to ensure compliance to 99.9% caffeine-free.

Honduras

Our Honduras coffee is the latest addition to Carpenter Brothers.  While all of our roast profiles fall between "City" and "City+," (a medium roast), the Honduras coffee flavor notes give it a more "light roast" flavor.  The tasting notes are caramel, nuttiness, and mellow chocolate.  We like to brew the Honduras in the Drip Pot, but recommend trying with any brew method.  Be prepared for changes in aroma and flavor based on the brew method as different tasting notes are highlighted in various methods of preparation.   

 

WELDER BLEND

The "Welder Blend" is a favorite in the Mindeman house.  With hints of earthy flavor, syrupy body, and chocolate notes, this blend caters to those who prefer the taste of a "dark roast."   Perfect for drip pot or french press.

 

 

 

 

Artisan Blend

Artisan Blend is a flavorful roast, with a first taste of caramel and light nuttiness, blending further into a full nutty flavor, and finishing with a mild earthy balance.  Brew in Chemex or Drip Pot for best flavor.

COLOMBIA

Our Organic Colombian is a fantastic coffee for everyday or for special occasions.  With notes of sweetness, juicy citrus, and a slight accent of caramel, this coffee pairs great with ice cream, chocolate, or nothing at all.  When brewed in a drip pot, the caramel notes are prevalent.  When brewed in a Chemex or another pour-over system, the citrus notes will be more distinct.

CRAFTSMAN BLEND

We are happy to announce a new coffee called "Craftsmen Blend," the coffee that the Mindeman Family drinks on a daily basis.  Great in a drip pot, Chemex, or french press, this coffee features notes of citrus and subtle nuances of earthiness.
