Valor Coffee has landed!
The mission: “Uplifting People Through Coffee.” Based in Alpharetta, GA, Valor is a group of fun, genuine, invested individuals who are passionate about matching the top 1% of coffee with the top 1% of hospitality in the world.
In 2016, BittyBean started as a small drive-through coffee kiosk in Bismarck with a simple goal:
“Service with a smile, and here to make your day better”
At the time, specialty coffee in North Dakota was still incredibly new. There were only a handful of shops pursuing quality-focused coffee, and honestly, we were just figuring it out as we went. What started as a growing interest in coffee slowly became something much deeper.
Over the last decade, BittyBean has evolved from a small family-run coffee stand into a team of around 25 people serving thousands of customers every month. Along the way, we expanded into housemade baked goods & lunch items (like the locally famous house salad & smoked pulled pork), with a clearer commitment to intentional hospitality and a level of operational detail we never could have imagined when we first opened.
More than anything, we’ve spent the last 10 years refining our vision and have become increasingly convinced that coffee is never just coffee. It’s hospitality, creativity, consistency, quality, community. It’s the opportunity to make someone’s day genuinely better. That belief has shaped nearly every decision we’ve made.
Over the last few years, we’ve also become more connected to the wider specialty coffee world. What once felt distant or unreachable slowly became inspiring and deeply influential. Personalities like James Hoffmann, Dritan Alsela, or Chris Deferio, and roasters like Onyx Coffee Lab, Cat & Cloud, and Valor Coffee helped expand our understanding of what service, hospitality, and intentional branding could really look like.
Last year, we began introducing coffees from Onyx and Cat & Cloud into BittyBean for the first time after years of exclusively serving our longtime local partner, Mighty Missouri Coffee Company. That season stretched us creatively and operationally in all the best ways, and was a direct result of our increased commitment to sourcing excellent coffees from around the globe.
Now, we’re excited to announce the next chapter:
Starting now, BittyBean will officially be partnering with Valor Coffee as a new addition to our wholesale partner lineup. This decision wasn’t simply about coffee quality, although we genuinely love what Valor is producing.
What stood out to us was their culture.
Their focus on hospitality, commitment to systems and training, intentional design, all wrapped up in their desire to pursue excellence while remaining approachable are all things that made Valor the next clear choice for a brand aligned with our values.
Valor’s mission, “To Uplift People Through Coffee” resonates deeply with us because it reflects so much of what we’ve been trying to build over the last decade. With this partnership comes a renewed commitment to becoming better at every level. Not for the sake of trendiness or industry approval, but because we believe everyday things like your daily coffee shop experience deserve extraordinary care.
That’s what “Expect More From the Everyday” has always meant to us, and this partnership with Valor builds on that slogan. To everyone who has supported us over the last (almost) 10 years: thank you for growing with us!
The next chapter is just getting started. (Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we approach our 10 year birthday in November)

New Logo
We’re entering our glow-up era — with a fresh new logo to match.
This year marks 9 years of BittyBean. When we started, our original logo captured the energy and optimism of something just beginning—like the first sprout from a freshly planted seed. Paired with our debut slogan, “Coffee & Culinary,” and a color palette of neon green and kraft paper brown, it reflected our early passion for creativity and flavor.
Now, nearly a decade in, that sprout has grown into a deeply rooted tree. Our brand has matured, and so has our vision.
Our new look reflects that growth, and it's anchored by our new slogan:
“Expect More From The Everyday.”
It’s more than a tagline—it’s a promise. One grounded in our core values: consistency, quality, and community.
Thanks for growing with us. Here's to the next chapter.
Our vision at BittyBean is to cultivate connection through creativity and craft, serving coffee with integrity at every step. We believe exceptional coffee starts with intentional choices—from where we source our beans to how we connect with people, making their day better than it was before. Every day offers an opportunity to awaken authenticity, foster community, and create moments that matter.
The mission at BittyBean Coffee is to enhance our customers' daily experiences by delivering high-quality, expertly crafted beverages and meals with friendly, efficient service. We are dedicated to using premium, thoughtfully sourced ingredients—including house-made and organic options that cater to various dietary preferences such as Keto, Paleo, Whole30, and THM. Rooted in community, we proudly support local businesses by partnering with producers such as Mighty Mo, Steep Me, TJO Bees, Skyline Ranch, and more, creating a culture of connection and integrity with everything we serve.
New Bean Partnership
Hey #BeanSuperFans, we want to share a big update about something we’re excited about!
Since the inception of the idea of BittyBean 10+ years ago, we've been on a fantastic coffee journey.
From Folgers to organic, from organic to home roasting, from home roasting to partnering with excellent coffee roasters with expertise greater than our own - we're always chasing coffee that makes us excited for that first cup everyday.
Over the years our taste has continued to be refined as we get to experience coffee from all over the world, with various processing methods and roast levels contributing to the unique flavor of each bag of beans.
Today, we're excited to officially announce two new bean partnerships.
Onyx Coffee is based near Bentonville, Arkansas, and is a leader in the coffee world on a variety of levels. With a slogan of "Never Settle for Good Enough", they continue to find and roast fantastically unique coffee offerings, while continuing to offer signature staples loved by all. You'll find their Southern Weather blend on drip at BittyBean, with an occasional appearance of Tropical Weather on single-origin espresso and drip. Find out more about Onyx at: onyxcoffeelab.com/pages/our-story
Cat & Cloud has been operating since 2015, out of Santa Cruz, CA. Known globally for its influential coffee podcast, Cat & Cloud has grown into a premier roaster, with a focus on customer service and excellence in the craft of coffee roasting & cafe service. We're excited to add their Ethiopian Kercha to the lineup of drip offerings, with notes of blueberry & cocoa, reminiscent of the early days of BittyBean drip. For our decaf drinkers, welcome to the biggest upgrade ever! We’re now featuring Cat & Cloud's latest natural process decaf Ethiopian, exclusively as espresso. More info at www.catandcloud.com/pages/about-us
For our latte drinkers who have asked for nothing but the best specialty latte everyday, have no fear, our espresso is still our official BittyBean blend, expertly crafted by our friends at North Dakota's own, Mighty Missourie Coffee Company.
We couldn't be more excited about our ever-expanding coffee lineup as we continue to enjoy serving & drinking great coffee every day. It's your support that makes this possible, so let's enjoy together!

Reflection Post: Five Years!
After painting the building red on the last warm day of the year, we opened the week before the first major snowstorm. On November 21, 2016, we opened our doors as BittyBean: Coffee & Culinary. During that winter, my dad and I (Trent & Daryle) were there anytime the lights were on, usually, 6:30-2:00 serving coffee, then another 2-3 hours working on improvements to the building. The first winter was long and slow, with roughly 54 inches of snow. Yet, the excitement of being new business owners carried us forward.
